Inside Out SoundtrackDisney Pixar's Inside Out doesn't come to theaters until June 19th, but fans can get an aural preview of the film on June 16th with the soundtrack by Michael Giacchino. This amazing composer won an Oscar for his score to Pixar's Up and in addition to his other Pixar titles, which include The Incredibles and Ratatouille, has also won great acclaim for Lost and the recent Star Trek films. If you're a Giacchino fan, this score doesn't disappoint.

The main theme to Inside Out is light and bubbly, a fun little ditty that is sure to get stuck in your head. Giacchino's approach to this score was to make it sound very internal and this unconventional approach comes across through most of the soundtrack while still offering a pleasurable listening experience. It becomes more traditional during action sequences, but for the most part the instrument choices and composure is very different.

The soundtrack consists of 24 tracks in chronological order from the film. The eight-minute end credit song "The Joy of Credits" offers a medley of most of the themes from the film for the casual fan looking for a light sample. My personal favorite tracks are "First Day of School," "The Forgetters" and "Imagination Land." If you're a collector of film soundtracks, Giacchino's score from Inside Out will be a great addition to your collection.
