Ever since its launch two months ago, I have woken up early on Thursdays to read and watch Alex's latest Tsum Tsum Life blog/vlog. Additionally, I have been playing the mobile game to great obsession for as long as it has been available in the States. Plus, when then the plush line launched in Disney Stores, my wife and I picked up a large Pooh Tsum which now has a happy home on our couch. And yet I only just purchased my first two mini Tsum Tsums ever this past week.IMG_4582

When I went to Tokyo in April of 2014, I actually remember seeing people playing the Tsum Tsums game on the subway and wondering what amazing Disney app I was missing out on. I also saw a few of the Tsum Tsum plushes in the Disney Stores I went to while over there, but I was more interested in their UniBEARsity line, honestly. As a result, just like I slept on my chance to import Duffy four years earlier, I was unprepared for the Tsum Tsum explosion that was about to hit the United States.

Having fallen hard for Vinylmations, I was very wary of diving into this collectible and I still am. However, with the release of the Marvel collection this past week, I found myself at my computer at 2 a.m. waiting for the links to go live. I am not proud of this.

When I went back to bed at 2:45 having purchased my Captain America and Black Widow plushes, I felt pretty good about myself. Of course, when I checked in the morning to find that all of the Tsums were still available, some of that good feeling faded. But when they arrived on Wednesday (8 days after I ordered them... thanks, Columbus Day...), I was happy once again.

I tore open the unnecessarily large box the mini Tsums came in and gleefully waited until my wife came home to present her with her Natasha Tsum. We marveled (hehe) at how detailed and cute they were and then sat them on my desk... where they've stated until now. What am I supposed to do with these things? I mean, I have taken Alex's advice and used them as a screen cleaner, but my screen only gets so dirty as to necessitate the Avengers assembling.

Needless to say, I don't think I'll be purchasing many more Tsum Tsums or living the so called "Tsum Tsum Life." That being said... LOOK AT THIS MERCH LINE! As Alex would say, "Le cute!"

Oh no... here we go again...
