IMG_9687Disney's Animal Kingdom is still a year away from the opening of Pandora: The World of Avatar, but from outside the park you can already see the new area will be impressive. IMG_9685With two giant cranes seemingly always moving as of late, the Floating Mountains are becoming more and more visible.IMG_9738Inside the park work on the former Camp Minnie Mickey area is also expanding to include the new Tiffins Signature Restaurant.IMG_9693 IMG_9694As the park prepares for record-breaking crowds over the next year, changes such as the expansion of the Disney Outfitters to include the Riverside Depot on Discovery Island and relocation of planters to open more space along the walkways have been ongoing for the past few months.IMG_9688 IMG_9689Another change to Disney's Animal Kingdom is the return of the king of the jungle (Tarzan) and his pal, Turk, meeting guests on Discovery Island throughout the day.IMG_9697Looking toward this upcoming summer season, we have the reconstruction of the area around Dinoland U.S.A. and Asia waterways to make room for the upcoming Rivers of Light show.IMG_9727 IMG_9728 IMG_9730IMG_9735 IMG_9736Something a little closer in time is the Discovering Disney Zootopia exhibit added to Conservation Station area of Rafiki's Planet Watch. IMG_9696This display not only gives insight into the making of the upcoming Disney Animated Feature but also gives guests a look at the citizens of Zootopia.IMG_9700 IMG_9701 IMG_9705 IMG_9707 IMG_9706IMG_9703We also get a good view of the stars of the upcoming film: Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.IMG_9711 IMG_9712The area not only gives a look at the animated stars but also has a great short about the animators and the exhaustive research they did to make the animals of Zootopia as life-like as possible.IMG_9708IMG_9704Now until March 4th rolls around, keep checking in with us here at on your iPaw for the latest updates!IMG_9702
