Running from September 2nd to October 31st, 2016 on select nights, the Magic Kingdom takes on a whole new look when the spooks come out to have some fun. Guests young and old have the opportunity to trick or treat throughout the park at over a dozen "treat stations," meet with some rare (and not so rare, but still fun) characters in their Halloween costumes, view the best party-exclusive parade and fireworks, and, as always, enjoy some of the classic attractions.img_3661This year, the new Main Street U.S.A. bypass is used as an unofficial entrance for party guests who can enter the park as early as 4 p.m. to enjoy the park prior to the 7 p.m. start time.

Once in the park, the most popular stop prior to the treat stations is always the Haunted Mansion and, for the party nights, the Maids and Butlers get a chance to join in the spooky fun.img_3675Of course, the highlight for many is the trick or treating and this year brings allergy-friendly Trick Or Treat options for guests.img_3659Every treat station has "Teal Tokens" along with candy options and, at the end of the night, guests can take the tokens to Heritage House in Liberty Square to exchange for allergy-friendly treats and non-food items.img_3855Second to the treats comes the characters. There are many options this year including Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas that had at least a two-hour wait throughout the night along with the ever popular Seven Dwarfs.

Returning this year are the ever popular Boo To You Parade, Happy HalloWishes Fireworks, and Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. But, for those of you not able to make it this year, here are videos to help you celebrate the season from where ever you may be.

One of my favorite parts of the night has to be the Cadaver Dans. Although they normally perform prior to the parade, we were lucky enough to catch them in the pin shop due to the rain as they gave a special performance of Boo To You for the guests.

If you are lucky enough to visit Walt Disney World over the next month, make sure you take some time out to visit a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party — it's always a treat.img_3706 img_3717 img_3788 img_3790 img_3798 img_3905 img_3910
