American Housewife, the new Tuesday night comedy starring Katy Mixon, has been given a full-season pickup by ABC. Channing Dungey, president, ABC Television Network, announced today. Nine additional episodes of the ABC Studios-produced series have been ordered.
Tuesday’s No. 1 comedy this season in Total Viewers (7.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.4/8), ABC’s American Housewife builds on its young-adult lead-in at 8:30 p.m. by 14% on average to rank a competitive No. 2 in its half-hour to NBC’s “The Voice.” The new ABC comedy is improving its time period year to year by 2.1 million viewers and by 9% in Adults 18-49.
