It looks like Donald Glover is set to become a bigger part of the Disney family as director Jon Favreau has just announced that he's cast the Atlanta and Community star as Simba in the live-action The Lion King he's creating. You may also remember that Glover will portray a young Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars Story film. Favreau, who also directed last summer's The Jungle Book, made the announcement via his Twitter:
I just can’t wait to be king. #Simba pic.twitter.com/wUYKixMBJI

Of course, the other big news revealed by the director was that James Earl Jones would be reprising his role of Mufasa for this live-action adaptation:
Looking forward to working with this legend. #Mufasa pic.twitter.com/1LszbWrcYT
