Those voyaging on the classic Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland this evening got a major surprise in the form of Jack Sparrow himself, Johnny Depp. According to tweets from the park, the attraction was temporarily closed and, once reopened, Depp appeared in one of the scenes, interacting with passing boats. Naturally, many of those fortunate enough to spot the star shared videos of their encounter:

It seems very likely that this is part of a stunt to promote the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. We wouldn't be surprised if a behind the scenes video surfaces in the coming days or weeks.
UPDATE (5/1/17): As expected, Disney has released a look at this epic stunt:
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales sails into theatres May 26th.
