Disney's Animal Kingdom has announced that Sohni, a Sumatran tiger at the park, has given birth to the first tiger cubs in the park’s history. According to Disney, Sohni and her pair of cubs are bonding well, and their dedicated team of animal care experts and veterinarians are focused on providing around-the-clock care for the tigers as they continue to monitor their progress.
Park guests can expect to see Sohni and her cubs on the Maharajah Jungle Trek within the next several months. In the meantime, Disney has shared the video of mom and her cubs.
These tiger cubs were bred by the park's animal care experts through the Species Survival Plan, which is overseen by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and ensures responsible breeding and diverse populations of threatened and endangered species.
