At long last, the untitled Han Solo film — which shot under the fake production title "Red Cup" — has claimed an official name. The film, opening in May of next year, will be called Solo: A Star Wars Story. Notably, the use of colon and subtitle mirrors Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which marked the first Star Wars spin-off film last year. Making the announcement, Ron Howard (who replaced ousted directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller) tweeted this video:
