Reading some of the posts of the author of that queue I couldn't help but think if he's disgusted by HM queue the "real world" will be quite a shock.

Agreed. It made me nauseous like no other ride ever has. On the other hand, Cranium Command was one of the most charming attractions at Epcot. And as someone else mentioned in one of the dozen threads that are currently treading water while we wait for something new at WDW, the interior design of Wonders of Life was less than inspired. The place looked like a mid-80s shopping mall.

Isn't that an overstatement?

SSE, Imag, Listen to the Land, Kitchen Kabaret, Energy, El Rio del Mexico, World of Motion.

None of those were exclusively screen-based attractions, and only Energy was predominantly one.

The Disney we (used to) know had usually been at the forefront of whatever technology that was state-of-the-art, whether it be audio-animatronics or theater. If Disney is to use screens, they must go above and beyond whatever the other parks are doing with them.

But there's an aspect of experience that's lost when you replace audio-animatronic vignettes with screens. It's not as magical.

The key with so many of the debates we have here at LP is degrees and moderations. Screens can be great and are a valuable tool in the theme park tool box. I think most of us would agree with that. The differing opinions come when some of us feel that a fairly cheap and easy tool (screen) is being used to the exclusion of other more interesting and ground breaking (i.e. expensive) tools.
