Will some people not to get see it. Probabaly. However going back to the Indy example. Yes it may have large capacity, at least compared to the subs, its first summer there were very long lines and it also broke down alot. So if it broke down there were probabaly a lot of people who didn't wait until it got fixed. There is a good chance those people didn't get to see indy. Were some people mad? probabaly. But i don't recall people storming city hall. Also what about people who visit this past week? When they get to the park two landmark attraction, Small World and the Matterhorn are closed. if you think the situation different, i almost suprised because every time i go there is people at the park for the very first time or for the first time in a very long time. So they get to the park and matterhorn and small world are closed. Attractions they probbaly have heard about and are interested in seeing. but they can't. So they will have to experience these particular attractions at some later date. Same with the Subs. lIke chi mike said some will wait in line no matter how long. Some will see the line and decide to forgo the attraction until some other time. it may even be during the same trip, because more and more alot of families are visting over multiple days. do the subs the first day, maybe get 5 or 10 other attractions done, then the second day you can experience the rest of the park.

So, like others have said, anyone willing to get into line before the line closes will be allowed to ride.

While both of these groups wouldn't mind riding the subs again, niether is going to be irate and disgruntled about not doing so.
Originally Posted By gadzuux >> the math is all based on the erroneous assumption that all 50,000 patrons every day are going to want to ride the submarine. << Sort of, but not quite. It's based on the assumption that more than 17k to 18k of the park's daily guest count are going to want to ride - many more. The total daily guest count is almost irrelevant, except in the growing percentage of disappointed guests. Also, the "AP" factor cuts both ways. I agree that many of these people would forego a ride on a busy day because they've seen it before and they frequent the park enough that they can ride another time. But on the other hand, many of these people have nothing to do but fritter away hours of time in the parks, with no particular sense of urgency about their visit. Many also exhibit classic symptoms of obsessive-compulsive behaviors and could conceivably devote entire days to repeatedly cycling through their favorite new attraction.
