Didnt like the sensation of it at all and I love thrill rides. My wife was sick the rest of the day. Where I think it falls short is the ride is ok for what it is but it misses the wonder that a Space pavillion could provide. A great opportunity to entertain AND educate that was lost.

If all you want is to scare yourself to death, go to 6 Flags, and leave me my Disney atmosphere and memories.

Horizons summed up the whole Future World idea/concept ... when they ripped it out, EPCOT lost a large chunk of its soul. I won't deny that it wasn't all that popular in its last 5-6 years of operation, although we all know Disney had decided it was gone too ... I think it could have been spiced up leaving the ride system and building intact. WS can still give me that EPCOT Center vibe, but without Horizons FW is really soulless.

OK before I get the 'boring' response please remember I said it was 'MY' fave, I didn't insist it be anyone else's.

But I am one of those "boring" fans (also I think old school Epcot center is the finest thing to grace Florida, followed by DAK).

Thrill is easy just throw some speed and some bumps and its a thrill ride. We have a park here full of them called Carowinds and its attendance numbers are dwindling every year. Thrill ride have a place in the parks, but non thrill rides are just as important. Plus sometime in my late 30s my inner ear just stopped letting me ride thrill after thrill. Now they have to be spaced out a bit. It takes better planning and imagination to make a slow moving ride where every detail is important. Splash mountain is the best of these IMO, Also Peter Pan. I love the rain part of Pooh when the movement of the car makes it feel like you are floating. PoC and Haunted Mansion are in a league of their own. All these may be considered boring by some but for us they are the real reason we go to Disney. Oh yea and how could I forget GMR and the dinosaur scene in Ellen's Energy.

I love that attractions. It actually looked like it had been cleaned up, everything worked and I think they updated the script in the last scene...(don't remember them talking about HD TV in Jan 08. We also went to see American Adventure 3 times in one day! Love that song..

I am (was?) a huge fan of all things Epcot..including all the "boring" rides including SSE, Horizons, WoM, and all the rest (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the land boat ride too)... BUT, unfortunately lots of people find those rides boring. I think it takes a true Disney fan to really appreciate them.

I was just dumbfounded. In my mind, she must have just been blown away...first time and all. But no. She wasn't. Faster. Better. Newer. Never mind story line or classic immersion, I guess. (I could've punched her, by the way. but instead I replied something like "yes, that's one of the rides Walt Disney had a hand in creating himself". Or something like that. (I know, Disney didn't actually live to see it completed and all that.....)

Hopefully it will be just as good with the recorded spiel.

My son commented on how short the WDW PotC was.
