Thank God I have an understanding boss and a bazillion hours of leave on the books.

It's also making him get a bloody nose all night long for some reason (well, he gets those very easily). I'm pooped and I bet you are too!

Except that he was also too sick on my birthday in November to get off the couch and it was a crappy day. But he never gets sick, remember? Only losers get sick. Cough, cough.

I'm glad your two kids are better now, though. Mine are... okay. Chad is back at school but coughing up a lung. I gave him heavy-duty prescription cough syrup before school which should help at least get him through the morning classes. I may have to take him to the dr soon if the cough doesn't ease up. Erin called me this morning to let me know that she'd had diarrhea this morning at home (thanks for telling me when I'm 15 miles from you now!) AND at school once already today. I told her I'd bring Immodium at lunchtime. I don't know what else to do! This has gone on for 6 days now. I am so worn out and frustrated. Work is awful right now, Chad & I had a big blow-up over schoolwork last night, and I am tired of worrying about their health. I am going to get sick soon myself as stressed out as I am. Thanks for asking, though. I hope you feel better soon, and you too, Mele!!! Also velo, I hope your son's cough improves and your daughter doesn't get too sick. It's such a worry, I know...

Chris hurt his back and Jacob hasn't been sleeping well. I took today off and if I don't get a decent amount of sleep tonight, I'm taking tomorrow too, even though I have a ton of stuff that I should be getting done...

Since she works PT at an ENT, I made her call in to talk to the doc. I over heard her saying "No we don't have antibiotics, my mom doesn't like me to take them." So they had us rush over to do a throat culture - if no strep, no antibiotics! Fortunately, there was no strep - the Dr's recommendation was Mucinex, Sudafed if needed, and no sugar! I was pleased to see that a Dr recognizes the importance of avoiding sugar! Anyhoo, she's feeling better than 2 days ago, hopefully the Mucinex will help with the painful throat. Hope everyone else can rest up and get (or stay) healthy!
