A new small queue could then be added on the south side of the astro orbitor facing space mountain. To tell you the truth i wold not mind a second spinner built ontop of the old platform. This would add another simple family attraction which would increase capacity to the land. It would also give a slight older crowd the thrill of spinning once again up high over tomorrowland.

I know there are always queues, but that could be more a function of the low rider capacity than the ride's popularity. Families will wait 45 minutes to get on Peter Pan, but would they wait 45 minutes to get on the Astro Orbiter? I know mine wouldn't.

Maybe a raised platform (1-story instead of 2) with some sort of water feature in/around/under it to keep the spirit of the Cosmic Waves.

Off the top my head I can think of at least two other very similar spinning rides on the property. The Astro Orbiter simply isn't needed.

I'm not advocating the removal of Astro Orbiter, but doing so would have little impact on the enjoyment of the park for visitors. There are plenty of other similar things at DLR to do.

Interestingly, I grew up in the Bay Area too, and I've always loved the parks, but I seem to lack the sacred reverence for DL that some people have. It's clear that we fans like Disneyland for different reasons. I tend to be less nostalgic about it than most people here I guess.

Replace Sleeping Beauty Castle for all I care. I just want to see the place get better and better.
