I say, San Mateo to LA. That would be the most convenient for me personally.

True, but San Franciscans are required by law to hate LA and say terrible things about it. With a San Jose start, they could sneak down there without other San Francsicans knowing where they're going.

I know. What is up with that? SF is a horrible mess, yet they have this superiority complex that is rather unjustified. True, the air is cleaner in SF, and the views are nicer, but the city itself is a disaster.

It's strange. I actually like both cities. But to admit that to a San Franciscan is like admitting you have leprosy and just kissed their daughter.

What's strange is, the venom doesn't realy go the other way. Folks in LA don't really think about San Francisco a whole lot. When they do, they think it's just a nice place to spend a weekend.

Maybe some LA baseball fans have stronger feelings about SF, but other than that, the dislike is much more north to south directed. So odd.

    It's the SMUG...didn't ya know?

SF is the most polluted city in the world, in fact!

It has been passed along, generation to generation.

Like 2oony, I really like both places.

    Big brother complex.

I see it all the time coming from Boston. Bostonians think there's this big "rivalry" between the cities, and New Yorkers don't give it a second thought.

Canada too...poor guys. They spend half their lives bitching about America, but we just like the beer and the skiing.

Yes, this is exactly right. And the funny thing is that many people who feel this way weren't even born into the area, or even the state.

LA has problems. So does SF. They are different problems, but neither is a utopia.

Love it there...and the park and the bay are incredible, as is nearby Vancouver Island.

Anyway, it was an ok place. Just kind of a bit dull. I liked the marketplace there on whatever island that is, that was really enjoyable.

It's clean, too. I wouldn't mind living there, actually.

I would LOVE to live there...very peaceful place. Plus you can conveniently cruise Alaska in the summertime!
