Here is what Kar2oon Man said in post #9

{{>>By the way, the 2006 Snackie was already handed out....<<

    I thought so!}}

And DlandDug in posts 29 and 30...

    >>You

    have

    got

    to

    be

    kidding

    !

After the debacle that was the 2005 Snackies, I cannot believe that this hastily foisted off "contest" is here.<<

So since Kar2oon Man has agreed to the fact the 2006 Snackies have already been awarded, this so-called election is invalid!

You poor dear! Just too ashamed to acknowledge you got knocked out by an old lady with a Turkey leg. Here you go, have a nice hot cup of coffee, it'll bring you to!

    No.

Technically, there is no such time as 12:00 AM. The stroke of *Midnight* marks the boundry between one day and the next, so it's both the end of one day and the beginning of the next. The next second pushes things to 12:00:01 AM (as it would now be 1 second into the morning).

There are two ways to avoid confusion. One way is to use 24 hour time. The day starts at 0:00 and ends at 24:00.
The other way is to ignore midnight be either choosing 11:59 PM or 12:01 AM. (Since 24 hour time is not commonly used, this is used much more often).

<< I'm so confused. Everyone shouts "Happy New Year" when the clock strikes 12. Is that technically too soon??? >>

Nope. Since it's BOTH the end of the old year AND the start of the new year, it's valid to say "Happy New Year".

Official results will be announced soon. Real soon.

Meanwhile, I suggest all past winners prepare carefully worded concession speeches. And may I be the first to congratulate those delicious SKEWERS on their (apparent) victory.

So then anything I do at that exact moment, technically either didn't happen or doesn't count?
