If the children had screamed when he first came close to them, he would have run the other way. (Those aren't his exact words, obviously.)

    DO YOU SUFFER FROM ERYTHROPHOBIA?

Erythrophobia refers to an abnormal and persistent fear of blushing, but also is used to refer to a fear of the color red.

It’s not surprising that someone could associate the color red with fear, as there certainly are a great deal of “scary†reds. The Red Scare of 1950s communism, redcoats, getting caught red-handed, being in the red, taking the red-eye, a code red, red danger flags, and, of course, blood.

    b. A massive region of hyper-gravity located in the Large Megellanic Cloud (a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way).

    c. The dark, pigmented halo around the anus.

    d. A ring of fibrous tissue surrounding the optic nerve, and the origin of the six extraocular muscles.

    e. All of the above.

Okay, do you want the answer now? Or when I get home tonight? Since I can't post on LP at work, it will have to be tonight. For now, I guess you could use google to find the answer.

WHAT DOES THE RX ON A PRESCRIPTION MEAN?

The abbreviation “Rx†that you see on prescriptions and pharmacies comes from the Latin word recipe and means “to take.â€

You may also see the abbreviations “Sig.†(for the Latin signa, or “writeâ€) which refers to the instructions for the patient, and “Disp.,†which gives dispensing instructions for the pharmacist.

    GREAT MOMENTS IN SELF-SURGERY

A 40-year-old Mexican woman went into labor at home, but was unable to deliver her infant spontaneously.

So she drank three glasses of hard liquor and, employing her well-honed skills at slaughtering animals, used a kitchen knife to slice open her own abdomen and perform a cesarean section, delivering a healthy male infant.

She then asked one of her other children to call a local nurse for help before losing consciousness.

For more details, consult the 2004 edition of the International Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics.

    WHAT IS A WET DREAM?

A wet dream, otherwise known as a nocturnal emission, is the involuntary ejaculation of semen from the penis during sleep—an orgasm while you doze.
They are most common when boys enter puberty and during the teenage years, but they can occur at any time during a man’s life. They are completely normal.
Many boys experience spontaneous erections during sleep, and nocturnal emissions can be the result of sexual excitement from erotic dreams or physical stimulation from rubbing against sheets or blankets. Sometimes you might wake up during a wet dream, but frequently you will sleep right through it. So a wet dream might very well be a guy’s first experience of not only falling asleep after sex, but of actually sleeping during sex.

    ON THIS DAY . . .

. . . IN 2004, Dr. Harold Frederick Shipman committed suicide by hanging himself in his cell in Wakefield prison in England. Shipman, or Freddy, as he was called, is much better known for his killing than his healing. A British general practitioner, he is the most prolific serial killer in the history of Britain. From the 1970s to 1998, he was responsible for 236 murders. His victims were mostly elderly women who lived alone and were otherwise in good health. He was eventually caught after forging a will in the name of one of his victims, Kathleen Grundy.
