Why should guns be any different?

All four man-made instruments are lethal in the hands of unskilled operators or individuals who do not possess adequate executive functioning to be safe. But unlike the cars, boats, and planes, guns serve only one purpose: to fire a lethal projectile at a designated target to destroy, injure, maim, or kill that target.

For that simple distinction alone, guns should be registered. PERIOD.

And converting the grains into beer is how they stabilized the grain for storage and transport. It was less labor intensive to make beer from the type of wheat that Egyptians used so it was cheaper to produce, and it was a regular food for the poor.

Beer has a much more noble history than weapons.

Donny, why are you so black and white and statistical with alcohol but not guns? More people die from guns by accident/homicide than will ever die from protection, why does that not matter to you?

I don't think that is true.
most times a gun owner is forced to point his gun the threat goes away and no police are called.

Because holstering a beer bottle instead of gun doesn't look as macho or threatening. It's Homer Simpson.

    Because you're in denial.

You're addicted to your guns to bolster your self-esteem and masculinity.

Without your guns, you feel naked and unprotected and totally vulnerable to all the evils of the world.

You don't like reading my posts because I continue to present facts and data which are counter to your little gun fetish fantasy world.

Try doing some research and see what the actual statistics are before popping off like this.

Very, very few gun owners ever have to use their weapons in a threatening manner against an aggressor, real or imaginary.

But murders and suicides from guns is a very real, very growing problem in this country. Whether or not you choose to believe it.

Meanwhile, people killing people they know because they have guns in their houses, either accidentally or in incidents like the guy taking out his whole family, are depressingly common.

    It truly is a fetish.
