All four man-made instruments are lethal in the hands of unskilled operators or individuals who do not possess adequate executive functioning to be safe. But unlike the cars, boats, and planes, guns serve only one purpose: to fire a lethal projectile at a designated target to destroy, injure, maim, or kill that target. For that simple distinction alone, guns should be registered. PERIOD.

Try doing some research and see what the actual statistics are before popping off like this. Very, very few gun owners ever have to use their weapons in a threatening manner against an aggressor, real or imaginary. But murders and suicides from guns is a very real, very growing problem in this country. Whether or not you choose to believe it.

They try to make their members believe it's commonplace (and if Donny is an indication, they succeed.) But it's just not. Meanwhile, people killing people they know because they have guns in their houses, either accidentally or in incidents like the guy taking out his whole family, are depressingly common.
