DLP has in general a good wine selection in the table service restaurants. Unlike the US Magic Kingdom style parks, DLP offers alcohol.

And at least the concept art has the "20" in a font which fits the theme, not the very plain looking 20 they use on all the advertising.

I liked the banners, especially in the evening when they were illuminated. But I agree that they were too huge for Main Street.

Have you already seen the decoration of MS for the 20th birthday? There are golden banners everywhere on the MS buildings. At first I liked them, but now there are too many of them.

Not sure how I feel about the gold.. Just seems an odd choice but interested to see more pics once it's all done..

I don't care much for their Welcome banners.. they look a little.. bland? or like a tenth grade graphics assignment.. I can't really put my finger on what's wrong with them but more the fact there's nothing remarkable..

I know what you mean, but it seems you haven't seen the banners of recent years. The banners aren't inside the parks, they are around the resort hub between DLP, WDSP and DV.

I like that stuff too. In fact it's the nicest merchandise I've seen at DLRP since the 15th birthday. I will have to buy a lot of it in September. My favorites are the marble stones with the land motifs seen in the CM Blog.

I agree that the design could be better, but I like the banners. There have been much worse ones in recent years. However I think Disney could have done better with the design of the 20th Anniversary theme.

That may be right, but I wish Disney would have used the retro style from the merchandise for the banners and other decorations as well.

Thanks for the welcome back dagobert!

I love seeing all those updates from DLP - especially since I might make two trips there this year!

I am kind of torn about the train station - I like parts of it, but some I am not so sure about. The Tinkerbell figure looks rather plastic to me - and her trail is even worth, looks like a far too long liver sausage to me...

What I like (and I am surprised by that) is all the gold they are adding. I think it is a strange choice for a 20th anniversary, but to me it does look pretty. I even seem to like the bunting. Not sure whether I will be overwhelmed when I stand on Main Street, but I think it really is an effect that has to be seen in person to truly judge it.

But the best thing is the Central Plaza without the stage!!!!!
