Long lines. *** Agreed and it disputes the claims made by some that Guest only like the attraction because of it use of technology. I clearly remember my first ride on Pooh reading about how great it is from online reports, but personally not expecting much more than the other Pooh dark rides in the States. Leaving the attraction I was shocked, and completely understanding where the praise was coming from here, the ride blew my expectations away and I've not been on another attraction since that has given me the same feeling. *** It's hard to judge, though, because lines all over the park except at Monster's Inc were so short. *** Yeah I've heard else where about the lite crowds, it appears most people have either already been on Monsters during the previews or are willing to wait. The lack of crowds has to be blamed on no special event being held at the moment. It should also be noted Tokyo Disney Sea which is holding its Spring Carnival Event is reported to be seeing more Guest than usual. The appeal of a new event is what draws these big numbers, and its a shame the Resort opted not to hold a new event until the summer. But on a bright note for me it means hopely the queues will be lighter although I'm sure this week will be the exception with it being Golden Week.

But most of the stuff WDI bring out now days just doesn't seem to offer the same vibe as Pooh or Splash do!

It was only my third time on the ride (rode twice on Opening Day in April), but it seemed to me much slower, and this would be the opposite of the normal new experience phenomenon where things seem to be longer the first time. It felt to me that as I was operating the flashlight in the locker scene and elsewhere, there was sufficient time to illuminate 2 or 3 things and get a reaction and just look around a bit. Before, it was going so fast that it seemed I couldn't even be sure I activated a single target - there were just flashlight beams going all over the place, seemingly at random, and things activating again seemingly at random, although I don't think this was actually the case. We've heard that OLC sped it up beyond the original WDI design for some reason, and since it now seemed to be "just right," my suspicion is that they turned it back down to the originally-designed speed. But I didn't have my stopwatch with me Or did I? Actually, we were recording the audio, so I compared this with a recording made on Opening Day (as well as the video posted on jtcent.com), and sure enough, the ride is now slower than it was, by some 23 seconds, well above my measurement error. I can't be absolutely certain that there wasn't an unexpected stop, but I don't remember any, and since I thought it was noticeably slower even before I compared timings, I believe that it really did get slowed down. If that's the case, I'm glad they came to their senses. It's a much better ride the way it is now. They also fitted the flashlights with different colored gels and character silhouettes, so you can easily which beam is yours.

Had it been a few degrees colder, I would have wanted gloves, a hat, a scarf, and an extra layer of clothing to be comfortable. I've done the parks in January with that wardrobe before, and didn't have any problems with it.
