Based on how you state things here in the past? Yes, you had me believing you were a young teenage kid with big opinions about WDW. And do go to DL to see why Barboy has got it's facts alright. DL is better in many ways but I don't care to explain (in facts) why that is. Just go.

reading is a skill -- the thread was not if overall WDW was better than DL -- it was what are some of the things that WDW has going for it. There would be a different answer if the question was phrased as which one park is better ( at least from me) - so you may want to try and be less harsh on the level of intelligence of the question or the respondees.

10 years ago when DL was in the crapper , and literally rotting away the shoe was on the other foot. And yes, I visit both parks often enough to know.

could you make this claim 10 years ago ? Fact - no.

And I am a DL #1 person in ranking all Disney parks ( sorry TDL I cannot rank TDR as I have never been there ( or HK) - -- one day, maybe in the next 5 years I am going to try and make that trip as a side trip on business if the opportunity lends itself. I am anxious to see TDR , and espcially Disney Sea.

I dont say WDW is better for cleanliness or quality. I say it for things that WDW physically has that DL does not, example EPCOT.

just like I believe WDW was at it's peak in the mid to late eighties before the dropoff started -- the same holds true for DL -- it was even better.

I disagree. 10 yrs ago.. while MK's Spectro and Fantasy in the Sky were boring me to tears..DL was entertaining us with the MSEP *and* Fantasmic! (two gems in the annals of Disney park history) As for now.. TDL lags behind the MK and DL in nightime spectacular but at least TDL does their Dreamlights and Magic in the Sky *nightly* (Dreamlights goes on hiatus during TDL's glorious Cinderellabration and their eye popping spectacular hub light display Lights of Romance)

Hoop dee doo... Bigger does not make something better and that very much applies to WDW as well.. Great things come in small packages...eg DLR, TDR..
..And from an experienced Disney park goer...WDW being a huge mega-resort is what has robbed the MK from it's charm and excitability for me. The maintenance or lack of it, has killed the place for me.

OK -- read the responses as they turned into MK vs DL -- as any English major ( which I was as an undergrad) knows-- you have to read the entire context) --

I was responding to is where the poster typed in DL vs MK ....and then questioned the intelligence of the first post -- condescending at best.

<What an intelligent thread. Never mind that DLs show quality DESTROYS MKs. I guess some ppl like bad audio, A1 AAs, broken lighting, etc etc<
    -------------------------------

the thread started as WDW vs DL -- but the response was to DL vs MK.

And the fact of the matter is that for all the hootin' and hollerin' on WDW's maintenance ( most of which is very fair as I have done some of the same) - people seem to forget that 3-4 years ago buildings were literally rotting away in DL and they had more construction walls than line queues.

So there is my response covering the entire thread - not just the opening remark.

And as I said -- DL vs MK -- today no question in my mind ( 3 - 4 years ago exactly the opposite ) -- and to think that DL is better in every way, than all of WDW...........a little paranoic to me.

I guess I can think of a few places west of the big muddy that are humid, but on average the west (especially the Rocky Mountain region) is very dry.
