Considering all the work that's being done at DAK at the moment for Avatar, Rivers of Light, the Africa Marketplace expansion, Starbucks addition, and table service restaurant (taking over part of Pizzafari), they really haven't been doing a good job with publicity for any of it. Imagine how strong it would be if they could bundle all those projects together. As it is now, guests just show up to the park and are surprised by the construction walls that stretch throughout the entire park (nearly as bad as DCA at its worst)<<<

That's how it works at DLP. Now you get to experience that as well. No informations about anything, even after construction has started. At least Disney officially confirmed Avatarland. The Ratatouille building had already walls when Disney made an official announcement.

DLR seems to do a pretty good job of keeping everybody informed, and WDW does too at times (the Fantasyland projects had lots of updates) so it's strange that they're so quiet about all this...

...not to mention that they still haven't made any announcements of any sort about what's coming to the Studios, despite closing several things in recent months

I'm still trying to figure out what the white areas are. The black circles on them look like they're some sort of columns, but I can't imagine why they would want columns spaced that close together; there would be hardly any useable space between them

Wonder why they're being so quiet lately?

Didn't Robert Iger say in an interview, that there will be an announcement in 2015 for SW.

Especially when the ship is really just a collection of debris that's being hastily tied together to keep somebody afloat (which has been my impression of the SDL construction process)

I'm not sure if he said anything, but it's widely assumed that there will be an announcement at the D23 convention in August. There's also a big Star Wars convention in Anaheim earlier in the year that they could use for the announcement, but that seems less likely

Given the (1) Scarcity of any information, (2) what little there was - VAGUE, and 3) nothing mentioned for a big period of time, what rational person wouldn't think it might have been cancelled or postponed?

Is the colored blueprint their "Soarin'" ride layout? With 4 Imax screens? Seems to take up most of the land. What about this boat ride? I thought that would take up more room than anyone could possibly imagine. Like the size of PotC.

Yes, that's the one. It appears that it will load with guests on multiple levels, more like Back to the Future/Simpsons at Universal than Soarin's lift system. It will be interesting to see how that works in reality. It seems like it could require a lot of extra staffing, and vertical circulation is always difficult with large groups of people

I think the boat ride was always intended to be more of a C/D-ticket level attraction. I might expect something on a similar scale to the boat rides in World Showcase at Epcot, rather than POTC

However, setting all that aside, the model shown in this link (along with various concept art images around the internet) gives me the impression that this will be a spectacularly immersive world worth visiting.

Judging from the concept art, it looks good. Now it would be great to get more informations about the rides.

In my opinion it looks very promising.
