My next trip is Aug. 19th-Sept.2 @ Hojo's (now, thanks to MickeyMommy) and (hopefully) the end of Nov. (I think the dates are 29th or 30th 'til about Dec 5...waiting to see if that's when the CP is!)

(The toll free # is not the one you want to call...they'll tell you $139 for the same nights you can get for $49 on the direct line.) The rates were only available for some of the nights I am staying and when I asked for Nov/Dec they were only 10% off. It seems like we have to keep checking back, but it's worth it!

Originally Posted By MickeyMommy Yes, you need the Entertainment Card when you check in. But you don't need it to make the reservation. Just call the HoJo direct - NOT the national Howard Johnson number, they won't have that rate. And that rate is only available on a limited basis. But give them a call with your dates, there is a good chance you can get it. The Entertainment Card is plastic card the size of a credit card that comes with the Entertainment coupon book. The card is used for discounts at higher end resturants, and at hotels and motels. Somewhere in this thread is website for the book, or run a search on Entertainment Card. Its full of coupons for everything from Pizza, to boat cruises, all kinds of stuff. We usually get one every year.

Originally Posted By MickeyMommy Oh no,its not you - I forgot to say they are available at the website: http://www.entertainment.com/d iscount/home.shtml Also alot of charities sell them for their fundraisers. I have found them for sale at hospital gift shops and at our local Longs Drugs. Once you buy one, you are usually hooked. About 10 years ago we used our Entertainment Card to get half off our room at the Embassy Suites in Maui. We were able to get an ocean front suite for less than a parking lot view would have cost. Not all hotels offer such deep discounts, but some do offer some pretty good deals.

If I had remembered to use it, and had gotten that rate for even just half our nights, I could have saved enough to cover our Disneyland 5 day park hoppers! I wonder if it's available for all the rooms? we had an awesome room in building one top floor with a super view into Disneyland (we could watch the people going around on the matterhorn) and the fireworks were amazing from the balcony. HoJo's is by far our favorite place there, and we would choose to stay there even without any discounts! Willie is the best for helping you pick a room etc!
