I tell you - part of my adventure will be to check these buildings out while I am there.

I'm so mixed up. I didn't know from the many times I have driven by this place it is that big. :O))))

I hope I end up in a good spot, although I am the type that is never in the room, but when I go the park closes at 9. I probably still won't be sitting in a room. :O)

As far as I know the king bed rooms are on the other side of the hotel, which does face the freeway, but...sound is not a problem! the rooms are all very sound proof! If you are going to be on the back of building one, the rooms on low floors look out to a cement wall blocking the freeway. They have young palm trees and lot's of plants planted along it. Other than that, if you are very high up, you won't hear much of the freeway anyway, and the view would be of the city and across to the mountains. We had to have 2 queens, so the single king would not work for us anyway. and we really wanted to be looking at the park! We have also stayed in building 4, looking toward the pool, also 2 queen beds and liked these rooms too! but our first choice will always be the 7th floor of building one. I love waking up and looking out at the park, and you can hear the train tooting when it goes by too...
Mickeymommy...we can only go every 2-3 years, it's a long way from Canada! so we stay as long as possible when we go! this has been our shortest trip so far! once we stayed at HoJo's for just under 3 weeks!!

They are going to love me ~ I'm going to call back tomorrow and request Bldg 1 since it is closer and ask for a higher up room because I can't take noise. I don't mind a city view.

My grandson and I stayed at the Grand a couple years ago and I just couldn't stay in the room. I never do ~ so I just as well get as close to the park and as high up as I can.

    Thanks Again..... :O))))))))

Hubby is the type who likes to spend a while in the morning and evening sitting on the balcony and relaxing with coffee or a drink, so it's important to him. Have a great time, and it is so great you were able to get such a good deal!

All the information is there which is so helpful.
We have never tried the "view rooms" in Building 1 (maybe next time?) but we did find that the rooms facing the freeway were quite noisy with regard to freeway noise and other people felt this way too.
We have also stayed in Building 3, on the top floor and bottom.
We prefer the top, except for the fact that you have to haul your luggage up the stairs. The only difference in the rooms as far as I could tell was the high ceilings with uncovered windows but my friend hated it because she said it was too bright in the morning. I like the brightness but everyone is different!
Last time we stayed in Building 4 with a view of the pool but found it to be a little loud only because we wanted our small children to go to sleep and they could hear all the people having fun in the pool.
I always find that the staff makes every effort to provide the room you request although they don't necessarily promise it.
Just thought I would pass on this info. and experiences.

I just called and spoke with Willie. He was very nice. I told him LP folks told me to call and ask for him. He chuckled. He recommends I stay in Bldg 2 not 1. Bldg 2 has the better King Rooms and for sure there will not be a noise issue. I ask him to put me up as high as possible. I think Bldg 2 - there are only 1 King per floor.

    I'm excited.

It's not like if we had a bad time we could just go again in a month to make up for it! But honestly, I doubt very much that you would have a bad time anywhere on the HoJo's property! I'm excited for you!! have you been looking at the HoJo's web cam?
