My fiancee, and I struggle every day to pay our rent, car payment, food, etc. I work for about 10 dollars a hour, he makes ok money but it goes so fast. Also we like to take small weekend trips 3X a year. BUt I decided that I would set aside 100 a week every week (what we use on things like going out to eat and etc) and when I was 24 and my children were 3,2 we went on our first disney world vacation. We have gone back every year since. Now it isn't as hard as it sounds. Open up a savings account. Pick the date you want to save too. So lets say its exactly 2 years. Then all you need to save is 48 dollars a paycheck if its in a year you would have to save 96 dollars a week.

My advise is to shop for bargains. And as always.. have fun!

Figure out your goal amount, divide by the number of anticipated pay periods, and set aside that exact amount. If you have money left over, that could be your "disposable income" to spend on other things a young man wants to spend money on. Consider the Disney money is your "rent" or "mortgage" and pay that account first. WDW is definitely worth saving for. I live in Southern California, but went to WDW once and I would go back in a heartbeat. I wish you all the success in the world!

The nearest Disney park was over 3000 miles away and I was devistated. I had heard rumours of a European park, but nothing concrete. Then the announcements came in 1989 that a park would be just outside of PAris. I was 14, nearly 15 at the time. And I vowed I would be there for the opening. I saved virtually everything I could, worked 2 jobs and sold some of my things as well. I was 17 years old, and when EuroDisney opened on April 12th 1992, I was there for the opening. It was not easy, and it was a path full of sacrifice, but I did it and it also taught me great lessons for adulthood. Good luck in your quest MrMikey!
