If Disney wants to play on our nostalgia (and I love MSEP especially compared to SpectroTragic), don't you think it would be nice if they did so with something new and amazing, yet familiar and uplifting ... ya know, like what WoC will be doing? The rest of Nightastic really seems underwhelming to me. I'd be shocked if ToT truly will change very much. Changes costs. I doubt they'd ever spend what they're saving by showing Fantasmic only three nights a week to upgrade the attraction for the summer. Having live music at TPFKaTD-MGMS is great, but that used to be a GIVEN at a Disney park. Especially on summer nights. And it sure seems like the plans to keep DAK open at night have been shelved. Unless PR really thinks people will be stupid enough to think 6 and 7 p.m. closings are somehow special or different than any other year. I guess the best thing to come out of this is the MMM pyro rebranded for the summer . That is a definite improvement over the syrupy Wishes ... although I couldn't help but notice that DL (and longtime WDW exec George K) have now decided the only way you see DL's Halloween pyro show is by buying tix to their hard-ticket parties (WDW strategy all the way!)so the Mouse gives a little bit back in FLA and pulls the FLA management card in Anaheim.

There might be a new intro and closing on it, so they call it by it's newer, hipper, more relevant name. Bah. Just call it MMM.

I dunno, but if they were smart, the ToT could REALLY do some cool things for NT, and it would be VERY marketable to the "teen/thrill ride" demo.

I just don't see them doing anything big, although ToT is great as is ... still, there's a lot that 'could' be done just via the nature of the attraction. I'm interested in hearing what they do as I am not sure I'll be up this summer or not.

I do have a question, though, and that is did Disney at least remove the 'California Classic' part of the drum float or are they just shutting that programming off?

If it isn't...I would certainly hope it's gone...and sporting OUR name. The REAL name. The Main Street Electrical Parade. ;-)

His whole career, which began in 1971, has been spent in FLA with the exception of his 18-month stint in Anaheim in 2000-01 and his recent three years in Paris. And charging extra for things that were once included is SOP in O-Town. But judging by the comments on Disney's official blog, many locals are going to be plenty pissed about it. I don't think they should have parties on Saturdays, though. You can't close DL at 6 p.m. on Saturdays ... especially when you're doing so on Fridays without having mobs with pitchforks out at TDA.
