    It's very funny. :)

I'm not sure about that. At the time of the filming, King's Island was part of Taft Entertainment. Taft did own Hanna-Barbera (which is why The Banana Splits, Hair Bear Bunch and others were in the park), but the parks didn't go to Paramount until the early 90s.

Wonder if the researchers doing 'Pop Up Video' just didn't realize all that.

Or did Taft have something to do with The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family?

"Early on, Kings Island was nationally promoted in two well-known ABC sitcoms. Each filmed an episode on location at the park: The Partridge Family in 1972 and The Brady Bunch the following year in 1973. Both sitcoms were produced by Paramount Studios, who just happened to be a large shareholder in the Taft Broadcasting Company."

Yes. I've read that passage on Wikipedia, but I can't verify it anywhere else.

It was actually TWO different parks: Most scense were filmed at Coney Island in Cincinnati, which is still there, only just a smaller version of itself and a few were filmed at Six Flags Over Texas.

Taft owned and operated Coney Island beginning in the mid-1960s, but due to the park's location along the Ohio River, it was prone to occasional severe flooding and could not be expanded easily due to the land it was built on. So Taft decided to "move" the park to what is now Kings Island, about 30 miles northeast of the city. Most of the rides were moved to the new park. But in a "weird" deal, the orginal park was sold to a new operator and was allowed to continue as a smaller amusement park which is still there today. Sadly, the two classic wooden roller coasters were destroyed, but the famous Sunlite Pool remained.

If anyone's interested, here's an excellent book on the history of Coney Island, including the early years up to moving the rides to Kings Island and the Taft ownership days, and beyond to what the park is like today:

Anyway, there are some truly delicious waiters who work at the Prime Time. There's one in particular I like to keep company with as often as possible. But I won't say his name. I'm keeping him all to myself...

We were so disappointed not to be able to eat there, but it will give us something to look forward to when we go back!

We had a waitress who was not in character and frankly could care less. The food was below average. And the desert menu was normal (no view master). It was one of the biggest disappointments of the trip (I prefer Sci Fi Dine In based on the experiences we have had).

The real fun meal of that trip (other than the FAB LP Lunch in the Land) was at Whispering Canyon - now that place was fun, and good food too!

Our waitress did not smile one time and there was no kidding.

The food was not that great either...
