One of the wonderful CM's (I forget her name, but she had been there since the opening) gave a mini "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" tour just of the gallery. She said they did the tour all the time, however it was based on availible CM's, and time. I had never seen a tour going on in all the times I'd been up there, so I felt really lucky. I learned a lot of things, including the tidbit DismayingObservation mentioned. It was really, really special. We were shown everything, including the bathroom used as a stockroom, the "Walt" and "Roy" monograms in the wrought-iron balcony, the original purpose of each room, where the front door was supposed to be, etc. I'm very gratefull that this happened, especially since the gallery is now closed. I feel fortunate.

I loved both the exhibits (which can and let's hope are relocated) and the atmosphere - which will be pretty much impossible to replicate.

    Farewell, Gallery.
