Maelstrom, the Backlot Tour, and Railroad are all in out of the way areas, so any work on them will have relatively little impact (beyond the attraction being closed, obviously) Rivers of Light currently has construction walls that stretch from near the Dinoland bridge to near the monkey exhibit in Asia. That's a long stretch with walls along the water-side of the path, but it seems like everything will be operating normally. There's also an expansion project in Africa (Mombasa Marketplace) to add another walkway and some retail to the east of the existing structures in Harambe. I wouldn't expect either project to be done by December I don't have any real inside information, but I wouldn't be surprised if the walls in the hub were significantly less noticeable by the holidays. It seems like the work will be done in phases, since it goes all the way around the hub. The current work is the most extensive (new bridge portals, new paths, significant grading) but it looks like it will probably be done in 2-3 months. I wouldn't be surprised if the construction schedule was planned so it would be done for the busy Christmas/New Years week, and the next phase of construction started after that. I don't have any inside info, but that would be my guess at this time While the whole Disney Springs project still has a long way to go, the first parking structure is supposed to open in November, which should make it a lot easier to get to DTD for the time being. There will still be alternate traffic routes in place, and construction walls in DTD itself, but it won't be as bad as it is currently

If anyone can give me one GOOD reason why it is a problem to have a great attraction in more then one park, I will gladly climb aboard that bandwagon and support it along with them. However, all I have ever heard is "some people go to both parks". OK, and that's a problem how? And for whom? Some people sound like a massive minority to me. So, all others that cannot either economically or physically go to DL should be deprived of that attraction because some people don't want to see the same thing in both places. Kinda late for that anyway. When the West Coast wanted ToT, there was no particular uproar about that as I recall. But, if the East Coast wants something that already exists in DL, OMG, it's just wrong. I hope, for the sake of all those that cannot, or just plain, do not want to trek all the way West, that they build it and do it exactly the same as in California. No short cuts, just quality.

And some Pixar themed spinners and such would be fine too, as long as they include a dark ride in the expansion. They could also move the Pizza Planet over there, and change the current building to something muppet themed. Or back to the old prop/costume display area it used to be, now that the AEI building is closed.

To build any sort of Star Wars "land" (more than a single attraction) without this would be a huge lost opportunity. I would assume that wherever they end up building Iger's Star Wars "presence" in the parks, it will include the cantina Then again, that all makes too much sense from a fan standpoint, so it will probably never happen

I think the most recent update was shortly after the first Narnia movie came out (circa 2005?). It seems like it wouldn't be too hard to make a fresh reel to play. And while we're at it, the montage at the end of the American Adventure could stand some updating too (sorry, Lance!)
