Or maybe since management in the USA have lost track of those special anniversary events and how much they mean to some fans, well I guess that pretty much sums it up. Yet, anyone who was in line at 4AM to enter Disneyland on the 50th, to do another long line for merchandise around the rivers of america, will disagree with you.

I have to say, whatever problems there are with merchandise in the parks (and there definitely is), I don't find a lack of stuff for collectors to be one of them. I know I can live without that 43rd anniversary pin.

There seems to be a lot of high-end merchandise for people who want it, lots of low-quality junk that gets pushed into every store, and a lot of "collectible" things like pins and Vinylmation (though that seems to be on its way out). But for people who just want nice-ish stuff that's not crazy expensive, there aren't a lot of options. I have no problem spending a little more for something a little nicer, but when that option's not there, I'm probably not going to be buying anything >>2. I hate the DL 60th logo<< I completely agree! I like the idea of the Diamond anniversary, and I can even get behind the concept of a diamond castle, but the result is really uninspiring. Why do so many event logos look like they were created in about 20 minutes by the unpaid intern? It's not like Disney doesn't have a good graphics department

I can only hope WDW will do something significant for their 45th in 2016 but I'm not holding my breath.

I can understand where you're coming from. It's like asking the butchest man on Earth to go shopping at Macy*s. As if. Answer to #2: Sometimes less is more. Would it make you happy if they had added Duffy to the mix?

I definitely bought more than I would have during a non-anniversary period
