That shows amazing intelligence and good taste on your part. would you like to be my first minion? (I haven't started the recruiting drive yet!)
Originally Posted By danyoung >It's impossible to be at the end of a customer lifecycle with Disney World and also pay attention to Laughingplace.com< I have found it interesting that there are some people who seem to be hanging around here just to tell everyone how much they're tired of WDW. I'm all for someone having a critical point of view like TDLFAN or the Spirit, as long as it's balanced by an obvious love of the place. But to spend the time to log in, read the messages, and then just post away about how little they care about anything - that just seems counter-productive.

On the other hand DLR is putting a lot of money and effort into becoming closer to the Disney experience I expect. So They know what we are talking about, its just WDW doesn't have to try as long as the place is full. DCA wouldn't have gotten anything yet if it had been a hit. So I'll be going to the Disney Resort that provides the Disney experience I'm looking for. I'm not sure but this addiction to Disney parks but WDW burn out may have been one of the reason DLR got built at all. Disney has been aware since the late 80s that the Disney Demo is finite and that they for the most part had already been to WDW. And I have to admit that my Disney jets had cooled. To be honest I'm not all that impressed with DAK. Then I heard about a new Disney Park (DCA) coming stateside. So I was pretty excited for DCA. WOW was I disappointed. At that point I discovered LPBoards with people arguing that the place is great just a little light on attractions. And I've been here since then going "No, its fundamentally flawed and is a shining example of the decision making going on in the DisCo." That said I still believe DCA is the barometer to judge to Co. And I like what I see. Just like DAK caught carnyitis from the DCA mentality. Maybe the new spread of quality for quality's sake will extend itself east.

For me - I have a love for the Disney theme parks and am saving to go to TDS next year. I also can't wait to watch DCA transform (with the help of this and other Disney fans sites) and will be there in 2011 or 2012. My visit to Paris for the 15th was wonderful ... I am having issues with WDW. WDW I consider my home park. I love it and it's a crown jewel. I am saddened because they haven't done enough to keep my interest of late. I am open to the fact that this can change and I hope it does with the announcements SPIRIT mentioned. WDW needs to step it up aggresively to get my interest again. Int he meantime there are other Disney parks I can and will visit. People are allowed to have an opinion and this is a place for discussion.

Or of something new? Or to see if their exepriences were a one off? Or to measure the benchmarks against the other resorts providing a balanced scorecard? Or because we are such huge Disney fans we read combined and click on the posts that look interesting? In my case, it's all of the above.

If you want to kick it up another notch, the Ritz is next door.

So I have to filter out the side comments .. and get right to the juicy stuff .. So I just figured you are going to deliver the news .. As you said .... Coming in any day .......... So I figured, it was a matter of time, since your first post, you'd tell us what these plans are. But I wouldn't mind being your minion. I always enjoy what you have to say.

Some people feel a need to share these feelings with a group. It doesn't mean they don't still love their friend or relative. That's how I feel right now about WDW. It really has cost me an empty feeling about something I truly love. However, I will not turn my back on WDW because I am disappointed in it. >> But I do appreciate the fact that you skip everyone else's posts. There's not any kneeling, bowing or Kool-Aid involved is there?
