All sorts of competing visual motifs and masses. They had too many isolated teams competing against each other the first time through. This is fact. Designers were contracted from outside WDI to contribute some of the portions of the entrance and the Hollywood District. The results were then smacked together and "ironed out" by WDI's people internally, with little freedom to tweak and make these things mesh better.

And cheap.
