DCA already has a considerable number of family attractions: Monsters Inc. Muppets 3D It's Tough to be a Bug Heimlich’s Chew Chew Animation Building Soarin' Golden Dreams Grizzly River Run I think 2 or 3 of the Paradise Pier attractions would qualify too, but knowing how everyone here hates them I won't go there. Yes, DCA has only one dark ride. MGM Studios has one. Animal Kingdom has none. You CAN have a Theme Park without dark rides. It just won't be Disneyland Lite.

I don't have a problem with the survey being used. After all, wouldn't people be complaining if Disney wasn't making an effort to listen to what its guests want with this park? It's a standard marketing tool, and as long as they use the information they receive, I don't see why it couldn't be effective (maybe just because it's unfashionable to say anything good about Disney in general and DCA in particular at the moment?)

Compare it with Disneyland next door and your considerable number seems a little scant. And what is wrong with family attractions? You can have attractions the entire family will enjoy without creating Disneyland lite. Why should we only have attractions which force folks to seperate into groups of kids, teens and adults. Why can't we get everyone together on one attraction? One of the best parts of going to a Disney park is spending time with your friends and family. Why should they only build attractions that force some family members to wait at the exit?

How many "Family Attractions" (according to your definition) does the MGM Studios have? How many does the Animal Kingdom have? My point is that DCA is being judged against Disneyland, when it would be more appropriate to judge it against the other "second tier" Disney Parks.

When you lack the basic feelings and instincts for what makes a Disney park a Disney park, you have no business running the division and making the choices that we are all forced to live with as consumers and stockholders. <<They could have just read the message boards for most of these decisions for that matter.>> They do ... and rest assured every post on this thread will be read by people very, very high up the food chain. Disney loves free consultants!

And Heimlich's is a perfect example of what's wrong with DCA. What could have ... should have been a ride around the whole land, complete with indoor scenes is instead a 60-second, mall-like choo-choo with two smell effects. Even something this small, they got wrong. So wrong.

Well at MGM I would say all of them except ToT, RNRC and Star Tours (if under 3). At Dak, again all of them except Kali, Everest,Primevil Whirl and Dinosaur (which I consider a dark ride). I don't want DCA to be another fantasyland. But look at the cool dark rides in DL and at Epcot, even at Mgm. DCA could certainly use some moreemersive, blow your socks off attractions that everyone can ride. I love DCA, but I know it could be even better!

If I want good food at DCA I leave and go to Grand Californian or the DL Hotel, (or leave the park in general). My number one choice would be LONGER HOURS. Nothing burns my butt more than being in DCA and having it close so stinking early and have no choice but to either go home (I wish) or go to disneyland. That place is a madhouse after 8pm. They really need to rethink what they are doing over there and allow folks to eat a late dinner at Cafe Tratoria or something.. Open up the Farmers Market or the San Andreas Shake place. Hot Dogs are NOT an option for me personally.. and I'm sure there's plenty of other adults w/out families who feel the same way. oh well. Disney's loss.
