In the history of LP, this has been my most favorite thread, conceived by a very nice crazycroc. The latest review, two days ago on TripAdvisor carries on the tradition. "Avoid this place like the plague!! The food is not good, it is way overpriced for the selection. They advertised BBQ ribs on their marquee, but none were available. Most of the food items were either cold or stale, or dried out from being under heat lamps on their buffet. The fried dish was so tough that I had to throw it away. The only thing we had that was good was their oatmeal raisin cookies, and their unlimited fountain drinks, which are not included in the price. Visited June 2016"
If you do...please let us know where the best bathroom in the parks is because you will probably visit each one after your meal.
Captain Kidds trip advisor is Gold, Jerry, Gold! Now if I could only find my Jimmy at the tortilla factory post on here....it was in the DCA/Expansion forum on the old board, alas it may be lost to the ages.
Hmm. I've never heard of the place, but I'm not unfamiliar with the idea of a somewhat (to extremely) disreputable restaurant in a high-tourist area handing out flyers and/or coupons to draw in business. There's a pizza/pasta/salad joint in Old Sacramento, called Annabelle's. It's not as bad as some people say it is, and it's certainly not as bad as this "Captain Kidd's" joint, but neither is it a place I'd go unless I'd run out of other places to eat lunch. And definitely not someone I'd take friends or family to.
Well, I went to Captain Kidd's today. Looked at food and walked out. It's all that's been written in this thread and more!
