Yeah, it was probably 4 years ago my Dad and I last ate at IHOP there and it was probably 8.99 for just about every dish on one page, even the appetizers.

I can't echo enough though what's been said here so far about Mimi's though. Great breakfast. Great service. Not as good a view of the monorail (since I think the trees and bushes it goes behind), but it is in a nice location I think. I haven't been to Millie's though. And I agree with Tink-Mobile, Mimi's and Hojo's are a perfect fit in that area, both great places of business.

I don't think I've ever considered Capt. Kidd's before, walking by it though with my Dad once it may have peaked my interest. But, I appreciate the heads up, Darkbeer so thanks!

Ok, how about we vote what should go in place of Captain Kidd's? :)

Okay I'll chime in here with my story. About 8 years ago we were visiting DL with my in-laws who are big buffet fans. We were staying at FFI so we decided to give good ol' CK's a try. My husband and I found the food simply non-edible. We walked out of there hungry, angry, and worried about possible food-poisening of our children, and myself (who was pg with #4 at the time)...meanwhile my in-laws seemed to have nary a complaint;).

We usually go to Millies for the "kids eat free" promotion- but can handle that only once per vacation. I agree Mimi's would be a better choice.

I've never eaten there, BTW, but couldn't resist the croc's stream (so to speak) of thought. ;-)

Storyline for your 1st book could be a tantalizing account of a vacationing family that unknowingly dines at a rat-infested buffet near a famous theme Park.... and the trouble that ensues. I'll leave the gory details to your creative mind:).

Perfectly acceptable continental breakfast. The only thing that are kind of weird are the pre-peeled hard-boiled eggs.

We also ate at the IHOP and it was ok but the one down the street a couple of blocks is nicer and a few dollars cheaper on their meals.
Millies is a good place to eat, nothing fancy but the prices and the food are decent. Haven't tried Mimis yet.

Funny, I've been to our "local" Mimi's several times and really liked it- but it never occurs to me to go there while on vacation. Putting it on my "to do" list for our August trip.:)
