He is also visited by Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapist. He is looking good compared to a month or so ago. His bone marrow is producing the white cells and are at a level considered to be at normal level. His red cells are also starting to reproduce and staying at a somewhat good level. The only thing that his bone marrow is not producing and has to get transfused once a week is seems is the platelets which is what keeps him from bleeding and bruising. He still has a feeding tube and the Doctor has told him he needs to start taking his medicines by mouth and to start eating to the point were we won't have to supplement between meals so he can have that taken out. We are working on that, but he is just not ready to take meds by mouth and his appetite is not very good. If this is the only thing I have to worry about, then we can work with him in making that transition. After the months that he and we had to go through this is nothing if we can keep him out of any prolong stays in the hospital. Thank you once again and I hope your Holidays were full of good health and happiness. Remember, life is unexpected and you should cherish the times that you can spend with your loved ones. Try to do the things as they come and not later, because there might not be a later.
