I'm just one of the few people that think the U.K. pavillion is just fine even without a ride. I love the Rose and Crown, the buildings, the garden, the British Invasion, and the general Pub feel throuhout the whole area.

If we were to have Willy Wonka, I couldn't imagine not having the Quentin Blake version!!!

The Alice In Wonderland scenes, for example, should look like Sir John Tenniel's original depictions.I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Quentin Blake, but if they're top-notch illustrations,I can't see why not.

I am not sure a boat ride would be the best thing to do, only because both Mexico and Norway have boat rides. But hey, they work over there so I wouldn't be against it either. Could be a ride down the River Thames. I love the idea of incorporating British fictional characters into the ride. Even possibly having Scotland's Loch Ness Monster featured as a scare on the ride could be exciting.

These are great ideas, and I sure hope the people at Disney are reading this. Too many times have I gone to Epcot, started the Showcase walk by Mexico in the evening, and made it as far as American Adventure (which should be called the United States I feel)and simply passed through the rest on the way out.

I have not yet had the opportunity to visit the UK, but I'm sure it's got to be more exciting than the way it's represented in the World Showcase. Good job guys!! Great ideas!!

I love the idea of the loch ness monster. That in itself could create an entire attraction. I love an idea like the cannon scene on Pirates of the Carribean, except there could be a stationary AA Loch Ness Monster in the water instead. Fantastic idea!

I wouldn't suggest adding anything about Jack the Ripper though, don't want to make a ride based on brutal murders, but a mythical (or real) monster could be fun.

From the beginning,I wanted the work of H.G.Wells to be included, depicted in retro-futuristic style,so including UK sci-fi dystopias, the less-than-appealing visions of the future, should be included, possibly as part of the "scary" portion.
I see "1984" depicted like this:a relatively small figure of Winston Smith standing next to a massive video image of Big Brother, who every so often shifts his gaze down to this insignificant little man.I see "Clockwork Orange" in here as well---as we pass Alex strapped into his theater seat,we cannot see the images he is forced to watch, but we can see his mask-of-terror face, illuminated by the flickering screen,as cold, analytical scientists stand behind him.

Compared to what?An African headhunter selling severed heads?Ghosts, reanimated corpses, and "of course, there's always---my way!" being suicide---and so forth?

I'm fully aware I'm designing for a Disney attraction---hence,my proposed descriptions of the above dystopias. You didn't honestly think,in doing "Clockwork",I'd propose recreating scenes from Stanley Kubrick's movie, did you?

I would not be happy taking a small child on an attraction that featured what you described as a possible scene from A Clockwork Orange, yet I have no problems with taking them on HM. I wouldn't call exposing young kids to the "Mask-of-terror face" of a realistic looking AA particularly as an out of contect snapshot entertainment.

I have similar feelings about the Alien section of The Great Movie Ride and The Exorcist in Cinemagique at DLP. I think both of these just about get away with it as The Great Movie Ride doesn't dwell on the Alien too much and the overall tone of the attraction is humorous. Cinemagique gets away with it because it is one quick shot, anymore than that and I would be most unhappy. I'd personally be happy to see both of these go.

I have no problem with dark/scary elements in attractions they just have to be presented appropriately!!!

Disney cannot, and will not, accept any ideas from outside the company. All you will get is a letter from their lawyers telling you as much.
