Stuff to share when I sees ya next. I'm hoping to FINALLY experience it this week!

I did think it added a coda in a way ... and something that couldn't fit in 'The End' yet had a place in the Lost saga. I do still have plenty of questions ... but few are what I would term significant. <<Damn....I miss Lost already...>> I do too ... I am so depressed I think I'll go back to WDW and fill up on pixie dust ... and green beans (for my favorite gal in Austin!)

MAGICAL!!! <<And the old music- I found that by accident also as during my last trip I had to take a conference call from work for an hour and it was nice and quiet back in that area..then used the facilities and was wondering if they just put on a retro soundtrack or what ?>> Nope. Just an example of Disney being so large and not really paying attention to all the details anymore ... in this case, in a good way!

Still a great nighttime soap for that era. I don't watch TV shows on a regular bases, but I was hooked on all the evening soaps back then.>> For me, it was largely Dallas and then became a huge Knott's Landing fan ... Dynasty was too over the top and never liked Falcon Crest. I wanted to see Patrick Duffy come back ... and since we had all seen him die (really great stuff) there was no way to bring him back as Bobby Ewing ... unless it was an evil twin deal, which would have been absurd. This worked. And it was really great because so many storylines got tossed up in the air ... some reverted to pre-Duffy leaving ... some never existed in the 'it was all a dream' storyline. It didn't cause Dallas to die either. The show ran a good 5-6 years after. And then spawned at least two 'reunion' films. <<I was very disappointed with the end of Newhart for several reasons. Although I do have to say it was clever.>> I actually loved it, myself. But much like Dallas, I was pointing out how folks can often have double standards based on simply whether they enjoy one thing more. >> People loated Seinfeld's finale ... myself included. << <<I was in the hospital when that episode aired. It's the only time I watched a complete show. When it was over I wished I had spent my time watching something else.>> I loved Seinfeld ... especially the first 3-4 seasons ... but the final episode was just plain AWFUL!

It was an appropriate ending to the series where Capt Pierce is killed instead of living happily ever after. MASH was truly unique, and I would argue was the finest TV series ever made. It really had a profound impact on me growing up, just like Disneyland. It has humour, pathos, tears, poiniency. I seriously doubt a series like that would ever be made again. BTW - enjoyed the trip report. Sorry I have not been around much nor replied to many e-mails. Life in the Baloo house is hell right now. Have a great trip to WDW, it would be good to catch up soon.

One of the worst kept secrets in themed entertainment was Baxter's involvement in helping redo Poseidon's Fury shortly after opening. Even though Scott Trowbridge left Uni Creative for WDI a few years back, I'm guessing that Tony's connections inside UC haven't disappeared completely. Hmm... Potter expansion rumors... Baxter retirement rumors... hmm... Work on the Potter expansion versus plussing up C-Ticket dark rides in Disneyland until forced Disney retirement in Feb 2012. Is the choice really that complicated? (Poseidon's show building is HUGE. Perfect for another Potter E-Ticket like Forbidden Journey. I would LOVE to see what Tony could do to that space a la Potter!) For someone as creatively driven as Baxter, seems like a total no brainer to me. Why he would choose to continue the mindless dreck work at DL for one more year if offered more challenging work with Potter?
