If the grandmother and granddaughter were already on the vehicle, they would not be able to help him. It's possible that it took a few seconds for the grandmother to be seated, then then granddaughter and by that time the grandfather was too rushed and probably tried to move too quickly. It's hard to get 2 people on quickly, much less 3 that aren't as nimble as they once were.

Why don't we just stop the ride everytime someone wants to get on? That way, there will not be any excuse about trying to keep up with a moving car, even though you're moving at the same speed that it is. And don't do it upon request - that might embarrass someone who might need the time, but doesn't want to call attention to themselves.

The CMs should not hesitiate to stop the ride's motion if a guest (especially wheelchair) needs the time to get on or off the ride... I too have oftentimes wonder why at WDW and TDL, they do NOT have the same type of loading system that DL and DLP have, there the vehicle comes to a complete stop for loading.. Of course, itmay be a different track and engine systems, but still wonder about the differences among these parks...

We walked by going to see Mickey's Philharmagic and noticed the line was really long{looked more like an hour wait} but the wait sign said only 20 min.
After seeing MP with about an 20 min wait due to a tech glitch, we walked back by Peter Pan and it was closed and dark. Never heard a buzz among anyone about anything happening.

Its amazing you can be in a park when something happens like this and never hear about it.

There are a few folks on here that know him personally, perhaps they can comment.

He is interesting & takes some of the best pics I've ever seen.

Ah ... a three-year-old thread back from the dead.

I have no idea what the original thread was about. I guess someone didn't make it to the rest room while riding to Neverland.

TDLFAN is doing well and keeps busy on another site.

I miss him here as well (and good old Jon Nadelberg tooo) ... I doubt there is anyone in the Disney Universe that has as much knowledge and experience at ALL of the international Disney resorts as well as WDW as he does.

I doubt he'll be back in these parts, but you never know.
