Yep... There's an addiction to the magic, the happiness, the opportunity to be like children again. I hope it lasts forever!

We're not alone... Yesterday, Mr. Alice and I took his mom to "visit" Dad at the cemetary. There were lots of people there and a short distance from Dad's resting place, we spotted a Stars and Stripes Mickey-shaped mylar baloon... Another family who loves Disneyland helping one no longer with us to 'keep the magic'... :)

We leave in 38 days for another trip and are so excited.

My dad had never been.:) I thought it was cute. I talk, sleep and even keep an eye on the job post just in case one pops out that would pay me enough to move that way. I don't know some would say it is an addiction

To be addicted to something "good" ...isn't a bad thing- as long as you keep your addiction where it should be on your priorty list. For example: below feeding your children, sleeping adequate hours per night, paying your bills...yah know ;-).... I have no drinking or smoking, or eating addiction - Just give me Disneyland, Starbucks, and Chocolate and I'll be fine :)

Seriously, the way I was reared was Disneyland was something fun in life to look forward to. I was also reared that Disneyland can be a wonderful Prozac or just our "pick me up" when the chips are down, as well as a wonderful self-reward to celebrate when things going well.

As a kid I watched Disney Cartoons, "The Wonderful World of Disney" T.V. specials, and have wonderful memories of my dad reading to me out of my big Disney stories book. Disneyland itself was very familiar to me b/c all those stories came alive around me. It's the same way with my kids and I'm sure the "addiction" will be passed on to my future grandchildren . Sometimes there's a fine line between addiction and tradition. Sometimes the two walk hand in hand.;-)
