I also bought the DVD that was made to simulate the ride. I like to break it out about once a year to show the kids and to relive one of my favorite rides.

    I highly recommend both!

I am looking for a replica of the now closed ATIS Omnimover (like the Haunted Mansion Doom Buggy)

    As seen here: <a href="http://themightymicroscope.com/peterdugan.htm" target="_blank">http://themightymicroscope.com...ugan.htm</a>

Would anyone know where I could get one?

More than you will EVER want to know about rain lamps can be found here:

We had a rain lamp in our house, sometime after our Disneyland visit, in the mid 1970s. It is actually pictured in the web site shown above. That isn't water dripping down strings-- it is mineral oil flowing over monofilament. The one at ATIS was a particularly large example, and one that brings back vivid memories for many of us!

I used to do that too! I sometimes swore I saw them too, LOL. That ride always left me with a total sense of wonder. There was something "off" about it that I liked, a creepy vibe, or at least something that put me on edge in a good way. I really felt the illusion as you progressed through the ride of shrinking down worked so well. The giant snowflakes were wonderful, and the water molecules. It was so surreal...maybe that's what I mean, a surreal vibe to the whole thing.

I also loved exiting into the shop, it just continued the theming. All of Tomorrowland up until the addition of Star Tours was great. Not that I don't like that attraction too, but I think that was when TL started to take a turn for the worse with shuttered attractions and poor replacements. I have to say that having been going to Disneyland about once a year since I was 3, that the most vivid memories I have of the park in those early years is mostly from Tomorrowland. I guess it really sparked my imagination and has stuck with me for so long.

LOL, seriously! I used to ask her that, and she swore we weren't moving...oh grandma!

I loved the AT&T displays too, especially the giant video phone booth or whatever it was. America the Beautiful was great too, and even American Journeys and Wonders of China were fun. I was pretty sad that it basically turned into queue space for Rocket Rods, but oh well. At least Buzz is kind of cute.

The Submarine Voyage was also a big winner for me, and I really felt like we were totally submerged, especially once inside the show building where it was darker and more foreboding...until we saw that silly sea serpent!
