If your meaning "singing in the rain" that was Teddi Barra. Trixie sang "life's no picnic"

I would much rather see Teddi Barra sing her mournful "Heart, We Did All That We Could" wearing nothing but a well-placed feather boa, rather than that sacharine-sweet Raindrops number wearing the sexless yellow raincoat.

Before he was old enough to ride Splash, he and I would ride in the Beehives over and over while the rest of the family rode Splash .

Country Bears freaked my kids out when they were little. Several times we'd have to leave right after the bears swooped out. A few times though we used it for "rest time" on the back benches because it was dark, uncrowded and the kids could stretch out.

DH and I enjoyed Country Bears and enjoy Winnie. Just saying that just because an attraction isn't an E ticket doesn't mean it's a failure.

I don't care for the canoes but wow, they aren't a failure are they?

Unless, you know, the ride's... for kids.

But then again, what do they know? They aren't old enough to judge what's fun and what isn't.

(Cue the argument that rides at Disneyland are supposed to be appealing to the whole family in 3... 2... 1...)

The ride is loosely based on Winne the Pooh and The Blustery Day (1968?). In fact, the psychedelic nightmare sequence in the attraction is directly from that film. I remember that segment very well from when I was a kid watching it on TV.

As for the Pooh ride- well, the only reason I've found to go on it is the chance to get a good photo of the Heads. The only thing good about it is the music.

I miss the Country Bears! Without them, Critter Country would never have even existed!

No, without them Bear Country never would have existed. Critter Country only got its name after Splash Mountain was built and opened.
One assumes had that had CBJ and the Long Bar not been back in that area, The Hungry Bear (also assuming it would have been built without the attraction) and the D.C. Canoes would have been/remained in Frontierland, along with the rafts and Mike Fink Keel Boats, etc.
