I don't understand your accusation (probably because it is baseless, but I will let you comment before I jump to any conclusions).

I have nothing better to do than launch a conspiracy against Al Lutz. Oh brother. In February of 1999, Al Lutz got a lot of dissension from the online fan community for taking a photo of a damaged park bench for his series highlighting how DL Park was decaying under the negligence of Pressler and Hariss. Despite his rather hysterical attacks on the Pressler/Harriss team and the evolution of DCA during that period, his photos emphasized how DL maintenance was slipping - undeniably due to poor management. Nevertheless, he apparently removed a loose bolt, shifted the bench, and snapped the picture, though this was not the state in which bench stood when Al arrived at the scene.

These stories are new to me--both the bench problem and the suggestion that Al fenagled (sp?) it. Now, I realize that me not having heard of it doesn't mean much, but I just wanted to share.
Originally Posted By Hans Reinhardt "Seriously, is that really it? He removed a loose bolt from a bench in 1999?" I like the way you are trying to downplay this. Good job. If you recall dean dismissed Marcie by saying that her claims contained "...Barely an honest word about the true nature of things", which leads me to believe that he thinks that Al is a reliable source for inside information. I personally find it peculiar that anyone would take any of these bloggers too seriously given that they each have spotty records.

And then we have trusted CMs like Westsider who do have access to factual information like attendance figures that 'Crying Game Marcie' tries to dispel to make DCA look better ... and even Leemac, who has his own ties to TWDC, says the person in question is a CM, likely a PR rep. Amazing. Seems like a lot of effort to expend on someone (Al Lutz) that supposedly makes things up to discredit Disney execs and has had no effect on DL. Sometimes, I just wish WDW had an Al Lutz of its own.
