for most of us krystal-its a time to relax and rest and recharge our bodies and enjoy something WE as adults love as we watch a parade. its nothing bad that DCA sells alcohol-its part of peoples lifestyle and its part of the lifestyle in DCA--so guess what GET OVER IT!!

At DCA, we really enjoyed the wine tasting classes and Seasons of the Vine in the early days.

I wish the Blue Bayou had a wine list.

Last October, we boarded the Monorail in Tomorrowland and there were 2 other families in our car. The adults were totally smashed! I felt so bad for those kids. The one Mom was really bad, almost passing out. I can only hope they were on their way back to the hotel to sleep it off and not heading to the Uva for more. Then in March, my son and I flew down for a little 3-day trip and one evening stopped to watch the flag retreat. This couple came along, drunk and reeking of alcohol, and started marching with the muscicians, shouting and hooting and hollering....totally disrupting the ceremony. I was so angry that they disrespected everyone by doing that. They headed off down Main Street, still being loud and obnoxious. We ended up running into them again in Tomorrowland and Adventureland, they were still behaving in the same manner. Finally, I had had enough and reported them to a Cast Member. They told me security would come and remove them from the Park. I didn't see them again that day, so I'm assuming the problem was dealt with.

I appreciate being able to have a drink at DCA or DTD or one of the hotel bars, but I'm satisfied that Disneyland does not offer alcohol. I prefer to head over to the Lost Bar or ESPN Zone AFTER Disneyland closes. It saddens me that some people cannot go to Disneyland and just have fun without drinking to excess.

The other parks, though, from DCA to Epcot to the Studios, all have served alcohol since they opened, and there's rarely a problem.

In any large gathering of people you're bound to run into some idiots from time to time who don't know how to handle their drinking. It's too bad that they allow themselves to get like this, but as you found out Disney security is pretty good at escorting those people out of the park. If someone's drunk enough to bother other guests, then they're too drunk to be in the parks.

If they limited it to wine at the BB, though, I can't foresee a problem. There's a very limited number of people who eat at BB every day to begin with (it's not that big a place), and the price of a meal there PLUS the price they could charge for wine would mean VERY few would get drunk there.

A person bound and determined to get drunk could do it much easier at DTD than by having to spend big bucks on a BB meal with wine.

And even though the wait times and resi's for BB are always crazy, I think it's stupid for Disney to NOT offer a beer and wine list in the Bayou. And what goes better with all you care to eat BTBBQ than an ice cold beer. Lost revenue plain and simple.

See, that's the thing-there doesn't seem to be any lost revenue at all. Those that need/want a drink have plenty of places now to get one.

By your own admission, not serving drinks, has not slowed the BB down at all.

Exactly what I was implying danyoung. Especially when considering the price point of the Bayou menu, I feel Disney is throwing away a large chunk of change by staying dry. You could easily add thirty to fifty dollars per tab.

But then again, I would still rather head outside to The Napa Rose and REALLY enjoy myself ;-)
