    We have hardwood floors only. It's uncomfortable, really. It looks great and I find them very easy to clean, but you can't sit on the floor to stretch and it makes the room cold.

    I've only been in earthquakes. I like not knowing, and they are over quickly. My dear friend lives in Arkansas and her experience with a tornado makes me believe a hurricane would be much worse. The waiting, and not knowing when would freak me out. Sure, you can prepare for one, but you have to move and you can lose your house.

    Chocolate is better.

    Hardwood floors, definately.

    I've been through quite a few hurricanes and only very, very minor earthquakes, so I guess I'll say earthquake, because I won't feel like a real Californian until I've experienced one.

    Chocolate.

    I love my hardwood in my living and dining room but I have rugs since it's winter. I REGRET putting hardwood in my kitchen/breakfast nook and should have put in Cork or Ceramic. I have laminate in my spare bedrooms (Libraries :p) and when I move will go with cork.

    Earthquake or Hurricane Well Earthquake is such a good movie for its campiness, there's something about older Disaster movies :) Twister is basically a hurricane, and enjoyable movie but some glaring anachronisms.

    Vanilla or Chocolate Both, Vanilla for ice cream though, unless it's chocolate chip. oh soft serve either way, but I'm a chocolate Froster guy. And please Dark or White chocolate over milk.

    I am from California and love the feel of a trembler but Hurricane Iniki was a rush. I think I would have have to say earthquake as long as people don't die.

    No contest!!!!---->Chocolate

This ones just not in the area I want to raise kids in.

    Back on topic

    For a disaster to live through, I'll take neither (but my city did have a small twister in the 80's)

    Hurricanes, since I lived through several in North Carolina, it's really nice to have the warning and time to get your stuff and run. Where I was never got too bad (it would just rain really really hard for a day, maybe some wind, and that would be it), but there were areas about 30 miles east of us that got it a lot worse than us.

    Vanilla for ice cream (so much better), but chocolate for pretty much everything else.
