It will be interesting to hear the logic, especially if they keep the DTD one open.

The DTD location is different in that DTD is a designated place for third-party operators to lease space and operate non-Disney businesses. This stand-alone McDonald's that's reportedly being torn down was kind of unique in that it was like a suburban McD's location, but at an intersection of roads within WDW that normally don't have outside businesses. It was definitely a privilege to be able operate a stand-alone restaurant with a drive-thru on WDW property. It must have been very profitable for McD's, which of course could be used as leverage by Disney in negotiating the deal.

I just find it hard to believe McDonald's built the place to last ... what? A decade? 12 years? Contract or not ... something sounds off. ~Pass the Fries~

Total came to about $15.00 dollars and at the end we were still a bit hungry. For less than that we could have gone to In n out and ate better, or even gone to a chinese buffet and had more to eat. Even places like jack in the box, wendy's or carl Juniors which are considered more expensive have ,99 cent menu with much better food. lets not forget the very popular $5.00 dollar footlongs. Even here at Disneyland we could order a salad at the Plaza or pizza port and those things are big enough to share. and it up spending the same or less than mcdonalds. Is it just me or does fast food sometimes end up costing more than a good sit down dinner?

But everyone has their limits and for me it's overpriced softdrinks and to an extent, overpriced burgers as well (and even more in general, grossly overpriced, low quality foodstuffs)...I will NOT pay the typical $3-5 for a large fast food burger (burger ONLY, no meal) at McDonald's or Wendy's these days. I buy something smaller on the dollar menu or skip it entirely because I feel the cost/value ratio is completely screwed up nowadays, BUT I will happily shell out $12-15 for a burger at a decent bar and grill because I don't feel as though I'm getting ripped off as much...just my crazy take on things." I am the same way. I do not mind paying for a decent meal whether it be a hamburger or lobster tail in a nice bar or restuarant but i think twice about it at a fast food joint

I can't understand why they would just turn it into a plain Jane McDonalds either.
