Ringo puts on a really fun show. I've seen him twice, with his All-Starr Band.

    1. Stevie Ray Vaughn & Double Trouble
    2. The Beatles - I don't CARE if I'd not have been able to hear them! Saw Paul McCartney in '93 and it was INCREDIBLE.
    3. Elton John - especially back in the 70s
    4. Pink Floyd post-Syd Barrett, pre-Rogers departure. Specifically, I'd love to have gotten to see The Wall live. *shudder* I have seen both Pink Floyd post-Waters and Waters solo, adn they're great, but neither compares to Pink Floyd of the 70s.
    5. Mighty Might BossToneS - love my ska, and next time they're in Austin, I'm going even though I'm sure they'll be playing Emo's again and I'm just a bit "too old" for the Emo's crowd. lol

I think it's kinda cool, considering my wide range of music that I listen to, that I've only got 5 on my list after thining about it for a month! lol

    Make that 6...

BOSTON! Man, oh man - their first two albums, especially. That 70s-era Boston is GREAT!

Heck, I hate just standing in one place, but each time I see Double Trouble now, I'm in the exact same spot for the entire show, glued in place to enjoy!

I distinctly remember the Winterland concert. I loved Janis.

July 6th or 7th, in '68 she says Golden Gate Park - free concert with Big Brother. I kinda remember this. I was 5 sheesh.

She said again that September with Big Brother at the Old Filmore with Santana. This rang a bell as I definitely remember seeing Santana and can picture her on the stage with them at the end. Whew.

October 5, 1969: Winterland - Kozmic Blues - this I MOST definitely remember.

When I got a bit older (I'm afraid to say what I consider older as it makes me look older and my parents unattentive but it was different times back then) my cousins and I would hang out behind the Old Filmore to see and hear all the musicians. Unbelievable stuff. ;>

    was there also !!

btw - that memory just came back to me when they announced Clapton's Crossroads concert going to be here this year - at a soccer stadium in the city vs Alpine Valley - but with the load of guitar talent it brought back memories of that night
