I really like TK and Rachel's attitude. Maybe I just really like hippies.

Even then, it seemed like TK and Rachel still could have blown it. To think the difference between first and second place came down to a 15 minute difference in flights. I know that Christine asking them to tell Nate and Jen it was closed was mean, but I didn't care. Ron and Christine still had to run a flawless race after getting their advantage, and they did. In the end, they probably have a 45 minute advantage on everyone else; That won't make a difference for the next leg. Kudos to TK and Rachel for never giving up and maintaining a great attitude. It looked like they might crack at the floating gardens, but they overcame that and then proceeded to race. Seeing them catch up at immigration in Taipei was great. It's a good thing for them the speed bump was not too far out of the way. Running through the firecrackers was just nuts. I hope the protective gear included ear plugs. Then, their reaction at seeing Nick and Don at the train station was almost priceless (the priceless moment was Nick asking Nate and Jen if they wanted him to blow kisses at TK and Rachel for them). Speaking of Nick and Don, they've really impressed me as the race has progressed. I originally felt that they were going to be eliminated early, but they stuck around, won the fast forward, and at least can claim to have won a leg. Unlike Nate and Jen. I'm amazed that Nate and Jen actually made it to 4th place. Given how much they fought, I would have expected them to leave much sooner. Hopefully they'll watch the series and realize that maybe they shouldn't date. On to the tasks, I thought they were good for a single day race. The road block was insane; I loved how everyone said they wished that they could have done it. The tea task was fun. I always like it when folks are forced to asks locals for help. And finally, the detour. I would have loved to have made the hot air balloons, but when Phil said "launch 20", I thought, "That would take way too long." So, it was no surprise everyone took the walk of pain. No shots of bloody feet though. Looking ahead, the final three teams head to Alaska for the final leg. I'll be happy with any of the teams winning.

I also liked how the other team members were chatting with each other while each of their partners were working on the road block; It reminded me why I liked these final three teams. On a side note, did anyone else think of the old Jiminy Cricket song "You are a Human Animal" when Christina was wondering if the guy was an animal? Beyond the final road block, this leg of the race did a great job showcasing the beauty of Alaska. I hope that the teams were able to enjoy all of the scenery. Congratulations to TK and Rachel! After the Goths, they were my favorite team. All in all, I rank this as one of my favorite seasons. We had some fun challenges (though no really gross food challenge), good twists, and some great finishes.

But it wasn't all just capitalizing on other team's errors, Rachel completed the puzzle faster than the other opponents, and they sailed to victory. Great season - when's the next one start?

The first one was when the flew from The Netherlands to Burkina Faso, took the train to Bingo, milked the camels, went to the school to either teach it or learn it, and then met Phil at the pit stop. The second Burkina Faso leg was the "no chicken, no check-in" leg.
