Creator Ryan Murphy told reporters today that season 2 of the hit FX drama will begin with a new locale and a (mostly) new cast.<< Cool!

I thought adding the Black Dahlia to the story was too much, especially since so much is already known about that case. What I do like that it is actually a scary show, which is tough to do on television. And I really like that each season will be its own storyline.

At a certain point, I think the whole family (definitely mother and daughter, and maybe Dad too, though I can't remember) had seen the ghosts and recognized them as ghosts, and had their lives threatened. But they wouldn't leave. They gave some reasoning such as the deaths in the house had depreciated its value so much they couldn't afford to sell. Well hey - a depreciated house sucks, but it beats getting killed. Setting it in an asylum - where by definition people can't just leave - solves that problem. Could be pretty creepy.
