Lovely kids but come on.....I felt like I was watching a High School Musical audition. Make the voted off night a half hour show and cut the crapola.

Vote For The Worst is celebrating big time because their pick, Urban, will be on the tour.

The true irony is that Miley Cyrus, Joe Jonan and Demi Lovato would have never made it beyond the first cut of 'American Idol' -- they're horrible!

Actually, I think it's long overdue. <The true irony is that Miley Cyrus, Joe Jonan and Demi Lovato would have never made it beyond the first cut of 'American Idol' -- they're horrible!> Boy, howdy. Or if not horrible, then at least not terrific. With the young women particularly in the Disney stable (and others like them), I notice that they can all belt pretty well, but they're not being taught how to support their lower registers or how to sing quietly and sound good. So when they get to the high belt part that all these formulaic songs have in the formula, they sound okay. And in the studio, the technology can now make the other parts sound okay. But put them on stage singing live, and the truth comes out. That, and all the runs/trills/over-melisma masquerading as "emotion." Yuck.

I was watching Nashville Star once and their guest was Taylor Swift. My DH was in the other room on the computer, but was kinda listening. He shouts to me during her singing that she was the worse singer yet and she won't last long on the show. He was shocked that she wasn't competing on the show, but was the guest singer. I'm glad they are letting them sing different songs than the one they got kicked out on. That always seemed cruel to me.
